BlessingWhite's survey of over 7,500 individuals and interviews with senior human resource and line managers found that at least a quarter of Generation Y employees globally are disengaged with the exception of India, where all generations have higher engagement levels than other regions.
This lends support to Robinson et al.'s (2007) proposition that line management may not have a direct influence on engagement levels, but rather acts as a sub‐ driver, affecting those factors, such as feeling valued, that directly influence levels of perceived engagement.
